Co-Founder, Proof of Impact
Fleur Heyns is Dutch, born in the UK in 1975. She graduated from Oxford University with an MSc in Biochemistry in 1997 and started her career as an analyst in investment banking at JP Morgan in 1998. In 1999 she moved to Johannesburg South Africa with JP Morgan. In 2000 she co-founded Global Trader, an innovative emerging market retail derivatives brokerage and technology firm which as global CEO she expanded into Europe, Asia and North America. Global Trader was successfully sold in 2007.
After attending the INSEAD social entrepreneurship program in 2009 she has dedicated most of her time and resources to impact investing by investing, advising and starting the following companies:

Fleur has been member of Young Presidents Organisation since 2007 having fulfilled many executive board positions in London and Cape Town. Fleur is about to complete a three-year study of Vedanta, an ancient philosophy presenting the eternal principles of life and living, and is Trustee of the Vedanta Trust.
Fleur is married to Gerrit Heyns and they look after four children: Samantha (22y) Zac (15y), Nathalie (11y) and Sebastiaan (10y). They currently live in Cape Town South Africa.
